Principal Sales Engineer - Enterprise

Your Impact

Axon is the developer and manufacturer of conducted electrical weapons, body-worn cameras, and digital evidence management solutions. We have redefined public and private sector technology globally by applying technical solutions to age-old problems in digital video capture. We seek a high-energy, results-driven pre-sales sales engineer who excels at pitching technology to leadership, support staff, and end-users. This role is instrumental in accelerating our sales initiatives within enterprise accounts in a fast-paced, startup environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Achieve mastery of all Axon technologies and products.
  • Lead business and technical presentations using exceptional communication skills.
  • Engage in technical conversations with IT departments, CIOs, channel partners, and stakeholders.
  • Set and manage customer and team expectations.
  • Provide technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle.
  • Develop relationships with key partners for growth.
  • Respond professionally to customer RFPs / RFIs.
  • Position our technology competitively.
  • Represent products and company values at events and conferences.
  • Improve or develop technical documentation for ease of understanding.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer requests.
  • Develop Statements of Work for professional services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years customer-facing technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, telecommunications, and IoT technologies.
  • Understanding of CCTV, video management, and access control systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong presentation and technical communication skills.
  • Experience developing SOWs.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus.

    The starting salary ranges from USD 153,090 to USD 244,944 depending on location and experience. Benefits vary by location and employment type. We encourage candidates who meet most qualifications to apply, embracing diversity and long-term growth.
