Position Summary

The Facilities Payroll Administrator ensures employees are paid accurately and on time by managing payroll systems, determining wages, processing adjustments, and ensuring compliance with union labor contracts in support of the Human Resources department.

Job Duties

  • Review employee timecards and payroll reports related to time and labor by checking for accuracy of hours reported and verify manager's approval / rejection of hours
  • Verify all leave taken is in accordance with internal payroll rules, union labor contracts, and federal, state, and local laws
  • Verify the eligibility of employees for sick leave advances, short term disability, long term disability, and worker's compensation adjustments
  • Maintain attendance records
  • Order uniforms and maintain vendor records
  • Process new hires on timecard procedures and time-clock training
  • Troubleshoot and resolve timecard problems; this may involve analyzing problems with time, attendance, and payroll data and making corrections
  • Required Skills

    Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be :

  • Experience : 2-4 years of full-time payroll experience; experience with at least 2 of the following strongly preferred :
  • ADP payroll
  • ADP E-Time (time and attendance)
  • Union labor contracts
  • Payroll support (timecards, attendance, error resolution, etc.)
  • Education : Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a directly related field
