Position : Accounts Payable Manager

Due to current, as well as projected future growth, Echelon is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to assist our Liverpool, NY based Finance Team complete day-to-day office tasks, communications, and accounting activities.With a legacy of service, innovation, and reliability, we continue to grow as a trusted partner across North America. Responsibilities :

Leadership & Oversight

Lead, train, and mentor a team of AP specialists.

Set performance goals and ensure high levels of accuracy and productivity.

Provide coaching, development, and performance evaluations.

Process & Compliance

Oversee invoice processing, approvals, and timely payments.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Manage month-end and year-end close responsibilities for AP.

Vendor & Stakeholder Relations

Maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving inquiries and disputes promptly.

Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving teams to address purchase order or delivery discrepancies.

System & Reporting

Optimize AP systems and workflows to increase automation and reduce manual errors.

Review and analyze AP metrics; prepare regular reporting for finance leadership.

Support audits with timely and accurate documentation.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).

5+ years of experience in accounts payable; 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems (e.g., P21, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage high volumes of transactions.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
