Learning And Development Lead

The Learning and Development Lead will be the driving force behind RK University's mission to deliver impactful, innovative learning experiences across the organization. This role is designed for a dynamic facilitator and program designer who thrives on empowering employees, building leadership capabilities, and shaping a culture of continuous improvement. From conducting needs assessments and aligning programs with business strategy to leading the Career Shadowing Program and facilitating new hire orientations, this position offers the chance to influence every level of the organization. With opportunities to design scalable learning solutions, measure real impact through performance metrics, and partner directly with leaders across the business, the Learning and Development Lead plays a pivotal role in developing RK's most valuable resourceits people.

Role Responsibilities

Learning and Program Design

  • Conduct learning needs analysis to identify gaps in skills, knowledge, and behaviors within the organization and align learning programs with strategic objectives.
  • Align competencies with RK University learning programs.
  • Lead the design and development of innovative and scalable learning programs aligned with business goals and talent strategies in a variety of modalities (in-person, virtual, eLearning).
  • Create and standardize all learning materials related to any RK University learning programs.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to design and develop appropriate learning programs.
  • Lead and manage the Career Shadowing Program across the organization to increase mentorship and retention while impacting career pathing and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to effectively manage, track, and execute Talent Management programs, taking into consideration the effect each process has on stakeholders.
  • Provide input and support RK's performance review cycle including goal setting, independent development plans, and mid-year check-ins.
  • Establish and communicate action plans, target dates for deliverables, and ensure smooth learning project timelines.

Facilitation and Delivery

  • Facilitate engaging and high-impact in-person and virtual learning journeys and workshops.
  • Set up, tear down, and classroom management of all in-person learning courses.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment giving all voices a chance to be heard.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation on a monthly basis.
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement

  • Measure effectiveness of all RK University learning programs using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Use learning metrics to refine programs and show impact on individual and organizational performance.
  • Engage in the continuous improvement of the Talent Development team by leading governance projects, creating and conducting presentations, and developmental support. Support Talent Development team members and other assignments as determined by manager.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, communications, organizational development, psychology, or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Design preferred; certificate in learning and development and / or facilitation preferred.
  • Proficiency with eLearning development tools Articulate 360, Camtasia, Inkling a plus!
  • Superior interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to professionally interface with all levels of the business including senior leadership and field personnel.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • High degree of organizational and time management skills; able to set and manage expectations and competing priorities.
  • Experience utilizing an LMS system to enable talent processes.
  • Comfortable working in an environment in which business processes, tools, and structures may continually evolve. Agile mindset and comfort with dealing with ambiguity.
