Lab Production Assistant

Location :  Austin, Texas

Shift :  Night

Job Summary :  We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Assistant to join our Hematology team in a high-volume diagnostic laboratory! This role involves assisting on the track with specimen processing, equipment maintenance, and supporting technologists in delivering accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with loading and unloading specimens onto the hematology track system
  • Prepare and process blood samples for analysis
  • Monitor instrument performance and alert technologists to any irregularities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
  • Label, sort, and store specimens according to protocol
  • Perform data entry and verify patient information in the LIS
  • Support inventory management and restocking of supplies
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and compliance standards

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working in a production or machine-operated environment preferred
  • Previous experience in a clinical lab setting is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06 / hr.
