Position : Day Aide

  • Salary : $17.60 hourly / $26.40 hourly overtime rate
  • Excellent Benefits and Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 403(b) Plan with Employer Match
  • Full-time position - Monday - Friday, typically 7 am - 3 pm (schedule may vary depending on appointments)

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing medical oversight for Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) residential people with oversight from Director of Nursing to ensure regulatory compliance; accompanying people on medical appointments and preparing paperwork pertinent to appointment; implementing follow up related to appointment; scheduling of dental / medical appointments; maintain medication certification as per Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) guidelines; updating medications and medical appointment data, medical providers in the agency software program.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Six months of experience in a Human Service field.
  • Valid New York State driver’s license.
  • Reliable vehicle and willingness to transport residents to appointments.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following : standing, walking, sitting, grasping, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
  • Ability to move, reposition, and lift and transfer individuals as required by prescribed program / plan.
