Program Overview :

As the Administrative Assistant , you will provide primary support to the Director of Development and, as needed, to the Chief Officers’ suite. This role is critical to advancing the fundraising, donor relations, and event initiatives of the River Edge Foundation, while also providing backup administrative support to the C-Suite office. The position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Location / Schedule :

175 Emery Highway, Macon,. GA - Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Foundation Support :

  • Manage and maintain donors, sponsor, and prospect records in the donor database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Draft donor correspondence, including acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders, and impact reports.
  • Support fundraising events through logistics, invitations, vendor management, on-site support, and post-event follow-up.
  • Assist with grant research, track deadlines, and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Support donor stewardship activities, including maintaining relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Prepare materials, presentations, and reports for Foundation Board meetings; maintain Foundation communication channels.
  • Assist with community outreach efforts, including internal and external speaking engagements.
  • Track fundraising metrics and prepare monthly / quarterly reports for leadership.

General Office Operations :

  • Provide backup administrative assistance to the Confidential Secretary to the CEO.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for visitors, callers, and internal staff.
  • Answer direct calls, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience; nonprofit or behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
