Job Title :  Histology Manager

Job Location :  Memphis, TN

Schedule :  Monday – Friday, Day Shift (8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM)

Annual Salary Range :  Starting at $90k+ / year up to $120k / year (based on experience)  Sign-On Bonus Available!

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field (required)

HT or HTL (ASCP) certification (required)

Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in an Anatomic Pathology or Histology laboratory (required)

Ideally 8–10+ years of overall histology / pathology laboratory experience

Must meet all CLIA, CAP, and relevant federal / state regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee the daily operations of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory, including Histology and Cytology

Manage and mentor direct reports, including supervisors, QA specialists, and safety coordinators

Ensure all quality assurance and safety protocols are met in accordance with CLIA, CAP, and EHS regulations

Develop and implement training programs and staff development plans

Maintain up-to-date SOPs, quality control, and compliance documentation

Coordinate with pathologists and serve as liaison between lab teams and leadership

Participate in inspection readiness, budgeting, staffing, and procurement

Lead improvement projects, manage the test database, and contribute to R&D and corporate initiatives

Prepare and review reports to meet operational deadlines

Promote a culture of safety, integrity, efficiency, and high-quality patient care
