  • Datalign Advisory is seeking a Manager, Public and Press Relations to drive strategic communication initiatives and elevate our brand's visibility across traditional and digital channels.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with our CMO and CRO and their teams , you'll craft compelling narratives, develop impactful media strategies, and leverage social media platforms to build a robust online presence.
  • You'll also collaborate closely with technical teams to translate complex data and insights into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role with incredible growth potential - you'll manage and mentor a content creator while rolling up your sleeves to execute alongside your team.
  • We need someone who gets excited about both developing the strategy AND writing the press release, someone who can think big picture while obsessing over the details that make communications truly shine.
  • We're also looking for someone passionate about leveraging AI to revolutionize how we create, optimize, and distribute content - you'll have the opportunity to pioneer innovative AI-driven communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Team Management Direct CEO Partnership :

  • Report directly to the CEO, providing strategic communications counsel and playing a key role in company-wide strategic decisions Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a content creator, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities Strategic Planning : Develop and implement public and press relations strategies that position Datalign Advisory as a leader in finance, fintech, and wealth management AI Innovation : Pioneer the use of AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation, media outreach, and communication analytics Hands-On Execution & Content Creation Media Relations : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with financial and fintech journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers Content Development : Create and manage a dynamic content strategy, including writing and publishing blogs that highlight Datalign's expertise and insights Technical Translation : Collaborate with internal technical teams to distill complex data, analytics, and technical concepts into engaging, easily understood messaging for media and the public Press & Communications : Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms Digital & Social Media Management Social Media Strategy : Drive engagement through social media channels, including strategy development, content creation, and performance analysis Digital Presence : Build and maintain a robust online presence across multiple platforms Content Optimization : Apply SEO best practices for blogging and social media to maximize reach and engagement AI-Powered Content : Leverage AI tools for content creation, personalization, and optimization across all digital channels Innovation & Growth Opportunities Thought Leadership : Partner with CEO and leadership team to develop thought leadership opportunities, including whitepapers, op-eds, and speaking engagements AI Experimentation : Lead initiatives to integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into our communication workflows and strategies Strategic Growth : As the company grows, potential to expand into broader marketing and brand strategy responsibilities Crisis Management & Analytics Crisis Communications : Manage crisis communications to protect and enhance Datalign's reputation Performance Analysis : Analyze communication efforts using data and metrics to continuously refine and improve strategies Strategic Reporting : Provide regular insights and recommendations to leadership based on communication performance data What We're Looking For Essential Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field Experience : 7-12 years of experience in public relations, journalism, or corporate communications, with a focus on finance, fintech, or wealth management industries Technical Collaboration : Proven experience collaborating with technical teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible messaging Media Relations : Demonstrated success in media relations, including established relationships with financial and fintech press Digital Expertise : Proven experience managing social media platforms, including strategy development and content creation Writing Portfolio : Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of authored blogs, articles, or other published content Leadership Skills : Experience managing and mentoring team members, with a collaborative leadership style Ideal Candidate Traits Startup DNA : Thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and multiple responsibilities Hands-On Leadership : Balances strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail Growth & Impact Focus : Excited to build from the ground up and see direct results of your work Cross-Functional Collaboration : Works seamlessly across technical teams, leadership, and direct reports Quality Obsessed : Ensures excellence and accuracy in all communications Data-Driven : Uses metrics to guide decisions and continuously improve performance Industry Passion : Genuinely excited about fintech and wealth management AI-Forward : Eager to leverage AI solutions for enhanced communication effectiveness Application Requirements To apply for this position, please submit : Resume Cover Letter explaining why you're excited about joining a startup environment and how your experience translates to our industry.  Writing Portfolio Link - show us some examples of your work!  AI Enhancement Paragraph : Write a thoughtful paragraph (150-250 words) describing how you currenrly use AI and how you envision AI tools and technologies enhancing your effectiveness in this communications role.
