Since 9, Lakeside has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Memphis and Mid-South region. The -bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene -acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
JOB SUMMARY :
The Program Assistant provides clerical and general support to the assigned department. The Program Assistant promotes the effective flow of information and manages office services in a manner that positively supports hospital operations in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. The Program Assistant must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the department and hospital.
Education : Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. High school diploma required.
Experience : Minimum of two years administrative or secretarial experience preferably in a behavioral health care setting.
Licensure / Certification : N / A
Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of office organization, time management and problem-solving skills; diplomacy, flexibility and telephone etiquette; excellent business skills and familiarity with business formats and principles for correspondence and files; basic math skills; excellent typing skills; attention to detail. Advanced computer skills required.
