General Purpose and Scope of Position :
The Territory Manager is responsible for driving the adoption and sales of Wilbur-Ellis branded products within their assigned region. This role supports the alignment of regional sales efforts with corporate brand strategy by promoting data-backed solutions that deliver measurable value to growers. Working in close collaboration with the Branded Products, Strategic Marketing, and Sales teams, the Territory Manager helps create and execute marketing programs, delivers sales training and support, and ensures consistent communication across internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong agronomic expertise, a deep understanding of crop nutrition and fertilizer solutions, and the ability to coach, motivate, and influence others.
Key Skills and Abilities Include :
- Ability to assist with creating and maintaining product sales support materials for the region with assistance and direction from the Branded Products and Strategic Marketing teams
- Follow corporate, Branded Products Team, and Wilbur-Ellis brand strategies
- Ability to support the development and implementation of internal and external marketing programs
- Experience managing a sales portfolio and executing a written business plan
- 5 years of actual sales experience preferred
- Experience working with product forecasts
- Basic understanding of pricing principles and margin generation
- Strong agronomic background is a must
- Experience scouting crops and making recommendations is preferred
- Strong nutrition background with a solid understanding of the fertilizer business
- Understanding of research trials and the value of data

Promote existing research data generated within the Branded Products group to support what we are doing within the Branded TeamSimply stated we have extensive research data supporting why we are bringing a new Branded Product to marketThis territory manager must deliver that data in a credible manner to generate interest and determine if there is a fitThen advocate for the validation work at a local level to confirm that the product has a fit and will accomplish the stated goal belowPromote products that provide value for our crop selection. It should either save the grower money, increase yield, or increase the qualityPerforming and assisting with internal Sales Team, Dealer, and Grower product meetingsProviding pricing guidance to the field sales staff on Branded ProductsAssisting in developing annual area, branch, and personal sales goalsProvide Branded Product communication to all levels of Wilbur-Ellis within the region, including product introductions, product updates / positioning, and other product support materials that are developedEnhancing the ability to meet and exceed sales goalsEnsuring processes are managed for maximum efficiency (Pricing - ASAP 2.0, Forecasting ADAPT, and Business Planning Template)All other duties as assignedCompensation and Benefits :
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $64,500 to $85,980. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
