We are currently hiring an Equipment Engineer for our new state-of-the-art factory in the Columbus, Ohio area. This role is critical in ensuring reliable performance and continual improvement of complex production equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components. The ideal candidate will be proactive in driving equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety throughout our operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the implementation of departmental goals and performance metrics.
- Manage and monitor spare parts inventory, equipment fault indicators, quality standards, and maintenance costs.
- Conduct detailed equipment fault analysis and lead technical improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in technical research, promote knowledge sharing, and continuously improve front-end equipment performance.
- Lead and support technical improvement projects and assist with the implementation of new equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
- Conduct equipment inspections and repairs in assigned areas and provide technical guidance to assistant engineers.
- Support daily team management activities, including training, documentation, and performance monitoring.
- Create and maintain equipment-related documentation such as SOPs, technical summaries, and maintenance logs.
- Deliver operator training for autonomous maintenance and safe equipment operation.
- Oversee spare parts procurement processes and implement cost-effective inventory strategies.
- Continuously identify cost-saving maintenance solutions and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.13 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance or production engineering; new graduates with internship or project experience may also be considered with strong technical background.Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and production safety principles.Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 6S workplace standards, and Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High learning agility and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information confidently.Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills with the ability to work under pressure.Illuminate USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
