Chief Engineer – Lead Operations & Maintenance Excellence
Key Purpose :
Supervise and lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Department in a 24 / 7 / 365 environment, ensuring optimal facility reliability and performance. Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of site maintenance activities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and problem resolution. Take ownership of the facility’s operational integrity and provide O&M services for assigned buildings or systems.

5+ years of technical experience or training, ideally with a technical degree or certificateMinimum 5 years in O&M and / or building engineering rolesStrong knowledge of work order control procedures and CMMS systemsProven subcontractor / vendor management experienceSkilled in managing KPIs, capacity planning, and reportingJourneyman-level expertise in electrical and mechanical systemsProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and analytical math skillsStrong ability to read, interpret, and create technical documentation and SOPsKey Responsibilities :
Lead the O&M team in delivering facility and utility plant operationsMonitor and evaluate performance, maintaining quality and safety standardsAssign tasks, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure timely completionKeep O&M documentation, drawings, and manuals organized and up to dateMaintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and service equipmentCoordinate with contractors / vendors for maintenance and project work, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and site access proceduresProvide operational modifications, lockout / tagout, and safe work setups for subcontractorsResolve operational and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delaysPrepare reports, scope of work documents, and equipment evaluationsEnsure compliance with company, client, and government regulationsRemain available for 24 / 7 emergency supportPhysical Demands & Work Environment :
