The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment across a variety of posts, including commercial buildings and hospitality / lounge venues . Officers are expected to uphold company standards, provide excellent customer service, and ensure strict adherence to site-specific policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Building Security
- Monitor and control access at building entrances, lobbies, and parking facilities.
- Conduct regular patrols of offices, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and restricted areas.
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and report suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Enforce property policies, including visitor registration, contractor / vendor access, and tenant safety protocols.
- Write detailed daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handovers for management.
Lounge / Hospitality Security
- Control access to lounges, bars, or event spaces by verifying IDs and ensuring compliance with age restrictions.
- Monitor crowd behavior, de-escalate disturbances, and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe atmosphere.
- Work closely with staff and management to support guest safety and satisfaction.
- Escort unruly or unauthorized individuals from the premises professionally and discreetly.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, venue policies, and occupancy regulations.
- Maintain visibility and professionalism while balancing guest-friendly service with strong security presence .
General Duties (Both Environments)
- Maintain high visibility to deter theft, vandalism, or disorderly conduct.
- Conduct safety checks and report hazards (fire exits, lighting, blocked pathways, etc.).
- Provide assistance to staff, tenants, and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Communicate effectively via radio, phone, or in-person with supervisors and fellow officers.
- Remain calm, composed, and decisive under pressure.
