Job Description :

We are seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our face-paced aerospace manufacturing team. This position will work under the general direction of the Supply Chain Management designee. This position is responsible for monitoring transactions and physical locations of production floor inventory assets and coordinating virtual and physical movements of the materials.

Key responsibilities :

  • Ensure proper identification of all materials.
  • Physically verify and record all incoming and outbound shipments.
  • Complete, maintain and distribute accurate documentation of all material movement, incoming and outgoing, within the shop floor.
  • Maintains constant communication with all production areas, planning, programs, receiving inspection and procurement on the status of inventory availability.
  • Effectively follows verbal and written direction from Supervisor and Program Manager.
  • Provides directions to production and quality personnel regarding material processing.
  • Obtain shortage and production floor control reports and information daily and report shortages to proper personnel as directed.
  • Diagnose troubled areas, communicate problems to supervisors, suggest solutions / improvements and take corrective action.
  • Make sure tools, materials, work orders and parts are available to meet schedule requirements.
  • Move material between all physical locations within the shop area.
  • Perform transactions and cycle counts for WIP

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer skills
  • Effectively communicate (both verbally & in writing) as required.
  • Has a working familiarity and understanding of work center processes and equipment
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift and able to operate material movement equipment such as pallet jack, high reach, etc.
  • Working Conditions :

    Working conditions consist primarily of shop floor environment. Other than safety glasses and closed-toed shoes, additional personal protective equipment is generally not required. May be required to lift and negotiate up to 60 pounds. Overtime may be required to accommodate priorities and deadlines.
