Location : Memphis, TN 38103 - Tennessee nursing jobs
Healthcare Setting : Level IV NICU, Children's Hospital, Pediatric Trauma Center
Start Dates : 9 / 8 / 2025, 9 / 22 / 2025, 10 / 6 / 2025
Contract Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)
Hours per Week : 36
Weekend & Holiday Requirement : As needed; must be willing to work holidays
Orientation : 16 hours
Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780-$1910

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Level IV NICU RN experience (required for travel nurse jobs)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (NLC guidelines)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

At least 1 completed previous travel nursing assignment preferred

Current BLS certification (must remain valid throughout assignment)

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions permitted)

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (no local candidates for this Memphis healthcare job)

Cerner EMR experience preferred

All requested time off must be submitted at application

First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of NICU RN experience

NICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU environment

Attend high-risk deliveries and serve as the resuscitation nurse for newborns

Care for well babies and perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and interventions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float between similar units and campuses within 20 miles as needed

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards
