Responsibilities :

  • Act as the first point of contact for all IT support inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and user interactions in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or relevant departments as necessary.
  • Monitor and prioritize help desk tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new equipment and software installations.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance support capabilities.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in IT or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and frameworks is a plus.

    The pay range for this role is :

    28.41 - 29.44 USD per hour(Remote (Birmingham, Alabama, US))
