  • Multiple employee engagement opportunities every month Job Title : Manufacturing Operations Planner Position Summary The Manufacturing Operations Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials, the creation of efficient production schedules, and the coordination of manufacturing activities to meet customer demand. This role balances inventory levels, vendor relationships, and shop floor priorities to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Procurement / Buying
  • Source and purchase raw materials, and components per production requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage order confirmations.
  • Monitor supplier performance, address delivery or quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain approved supplier list and assist in supplier audits. Planning
  • Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Translate demand forecasts into material requirements using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Ensure safety stock levels are maintained without creating excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality to ensure timely introduction of new products and engineering changes. Scheduling
  • Create and maintain daily / weekly production schedules for manufacturing lines or work centers.
  • Adjust schedules proactively to address changes in demand, machine downtime, or material shortages.
  • Communicate schedule updates to production supervisors, warehouse, and quality teams.
  • Track production progress against the schedule and implement corrective actions when targets are missed. Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and operations to meet delivery commitments.
  • Partner with finance on cost reduction initiatives and budget adherence.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in supply chain processes. ________________________________________ Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing procurement, planning, or scheduling roles.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and inventory management principles. ________________________________________ Key Competencies
