SkyMetric is a veteran owned company that prides ourselves on creating a diverse and unique culture of trained and talented individuals. We are currently seeking an experienced Full time Executive Response Agent with high integrity and professionalism who can join our team here in the Bay Area. You will be working on uniquely assigned projects under the guidance of the Team Leader and Program Manager for our top Silicon Valley clients. In your day to day role as an Executive Response Agent, you will be acting as a liaison between SkyMetric and its clients while providing incident detection, observation, physical security as well as overwatch and reconnaissance to assigned clients and events. You will perform all duties in accordance with SkyMetric and client policies and procedures and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to : responding to emergency events, assessing medical & non-medical issues, addressing staffing deficiencies, and effectively handling client requests in a timely manner. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and exhibits close attention to detail. The ability to work independently on assignments and to coordinate with supporting and / or adjacent teams, agencies, or vendors are critical to ensuring clients security requirements are addressed in a timely and professional manner. The individual selected must be flexible and able to respond to dynamic situations with sound judgment as well as have the ability to perform their duties on a national and international level. We are not offering visa sponsorship for this position at this time. The Compensation Range for this is between $91,000 and $101,000 annually with step increases annually.

What you will do :

  • Provide incident detection capabilities to the client as requested
  • Develop relationships with clients, facilitate collaboration, and have the ability to influence informally across different departments within the team
  • Manage / monitor surveillance equipment and access points
  • Maintain and update logs with any pertinent activity observed related to assigned client
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot and / or vehicle while monitoring access
  • Watch for unusual activity and respond immediately and safely to emergency situations on-site
  • Coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement agencies as necessary
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company and / or client property
  • Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activities
  • Provide assistance to employees and create a safe and friendly environment for visitors and clients in a professional manner
  • Attend project meetings upon request to assess the security implications of proposed changes
  • Work independently and adapt to varying operational tempo while maintaining a high-level of situational awareness
  • Responsible for client and family physical safety as well as the safeguarding of client assets
  • Provide safe, secure, and discreet vehicular transportation to and from designated locations for C-Level executives, their family, and / or staff who may join him from time to time
  • Develop strong, cordial, and collaborative relationships with assigned executives and support staff, and promote and influence safety, security, and discretion across all the individuals with whom this position is required to work
  • Conducts ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments
  • Operate motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local emergency services, routes, and points of interest within a given area of responsibility
  • Operate in a low-profile, low-footprint capacity
  • Physical security or overwatch of assigned clients as requested
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and professional personal appearance
  • Traveling nationwide and internationally, as necessary
  • Comply with SkyMetric Policy and Procedures

What is required :

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to pass a driving record check with no serious moving violations
  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate
  • Must have at least 1 year of physical security experience
  • Must have a current BSIS guard card or eligible to qualify for guard card
  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Must possess a broad understanding of the geographical, navigational features of the greater San Jose / San Francisco Bay Area and peninsula roads and neighborhoods
  • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • All applicants must be able to pass the SkyMetric Physical Agility Test (SPAT), with or without reasonable accommodation, prior to the scheduled start date. Please be aware that passing the physical agility test is a requirement for this position. The SPAT is a timed sequence of multiple physical events requiring you to progress along a predetermined path from event to event in a continuous manner until complete.
  • CPR / First Aid / AED for all ages is required
  • Possess a valid and current driver license
  • Valid U.S Passport
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to work autonomously, domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrate an operational understanding of today's technology across all platforms
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
  • SkyMetric RSOTC / POCC Course Completion or the willingness and ability to attend and graduate
  • What is desired :

  • 1-2 years of Security or law enforcement related experience preferred
  • Military background is a plus
  • Report writing experience preferred
  • Experience working with families and children in a high net worth environment
  • Experience with international travel and experience in overseas protection assignments
  • Executive Protection related training course(s) attendance or experience
  • Anti-terrorism or high-threat driving course(s) attendance or experience
