Warehouse Team Lead
Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full time warehouse team lead to support our operations in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Warehouse positions pay weekly.
Hourly pay : $22.00 per hour
Schedule : Monday - Friday 6 : 00 am - 2 : 30 pm

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferredOne (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferredOne (1) year or more previous experience as team lead preferredOne (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferredOne (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferredKnowledge and / or experience with an RF scanner advanced requiredValid forklift operator's license certifiedStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective leadership skillsPossesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamPerforms work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skillsProactively approaches responsibilitiesMaintains composure under pressureWorking using health and safety methodsBilingual (for Qubec locations only)Knowledge or and experience with an RF scanner advanced requiredImportant Note : Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and / or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift / team operational logistics.Inspire and guide team members towards improved key performance indicators (KPIs) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology, and tools to perform their jobs.Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.Performs other duties as assigned.Ryder is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
