Sr. Maintenance Technician - PLC
The Sr. Maintenance Technician - PLC is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely and in-depth electrical troubleshooting of 480VAC and 24VDC components. The role involves acting as a subject matter expert on frequency drives, human-machine interfaces, plant operating systems, and data collection / system backups. The Sr. Maintenance Technician - PLC will perform troubleshooting and repairs on facilities, auxiliary equipment, and general electrical maintenance of the building and grounds. Collaboration with Maintenance Technicians, machine Operators, Supervisors, and Managers is key to resolving electrical and mechanical issues, developing and implementing best practices, and championing continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment uptime through timely electrical troubleshooting of 480VAC and 24VDC components.
- Act as a subject matter expert on frequency drives, human-machine interfaces, plant operating systems, and data collection / system backups.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment, as well as general electrical maintenance of the building and grounds.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians, machine Operators, Supervisors, and Managers to resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
- Develop and implement best practices aligned with maintenance strategies.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts and assist with training in focus areas.
Essential Skills
10+ years of experience in an electrical maintenance environment.Experience in managing people and projects for 6 years.Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen (AB), B&R, or Siemens operating systems for 4 years.Experience in an electro-mechanical role with packaging or bottling equipment for 4 years.Leading and developing others on electro-mechanical equipment functionality and repair for 1 year.Process improvements or continuous improvement initiatives experience for 2 years.Skilled in layout and installation of electrical and communication lines.Skilled working with electrical systems including 480VAC and 24VDC power.Ability to read and interpret schematics, process, and instrumentation diagrams.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen (AB), B&R, and / or Siemens automation systems.Working experience with RSLogix 5000, SIMATIC Step 7, and Factory Talk Studio.Understanding of binary numbers and computer infrastructure.Knowledge of COPA-Data, SEW Motion Studios, and / or B&R Automation Studios.Work Environment
The position is set in a manufacturing environment, where the Sr. Maintenance Technician - PLC will work with advanced technologies and equipment. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and standards within the facility.

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 / hr.
