The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting. This role will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights through account analysis. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
- Oversee cash management processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of cash flow.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reporting in compliance with applicable laws and standards.
- Manage and / or perform accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections and payment posting.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage 100 for efficient financial management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate accounting initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage and / or perform accounts payable processes, ensuring timely processing and payment of accounts payable invoices. Ensure the accurate posting and expensing of accounts payable invoices.
- Foreign currency exchange and management of foreign currency accounts a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; or Associates degree in Accounting
- Proven experience as Accountant, bookkeeper or similar role within business accounting environment.
- Experience using Sage 100 preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and management.
- Experience with cash management, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, regulatory reporting, accounts receivable and accounts payable is highly desirable.
