Amazon General Laborer - 20hr- 3 Week Contract

Location : Elliot rd / Hawes rd

Shift : Monday - Friday 7am - 330pm.

Pay : $20hr

Job Description

General Laborer in large distribution center. Will primarily assist install team with spotting / flagging them while on scissor lifts. Be an extra pair of hands to help complete tasks including removal of plastics, cardboard, and additional waste. Will be handling a myriad of tasks, from using power tools, pushing a broom, running materials up the elevator utilizing a pallet jack, an heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Install robotic arms, sub-stations, and site fencing.
• Operate pallet jacks to move, strap, and catalogue materials.
• Utilize hand and air-powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.
• Follow detailed step-by-step instructions.
• Run wiring for power supply.
• Handle materials and perform general labor tasks such as loading, packaging, and cleaning.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a bustling distribution center which can be messy and loud at times. It is crucial to maintain a professional and presentable appearance due to high visibility. The dress code includes PPE such as a high visibility vest, glasses, hard hat, gloves, earplugs, and steel toe shoes / boots. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, but avoid loose, baggy clothing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $18.66 / yr.
