Responsibilities :
- Ensure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issues
- Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects
- Schedule construction operations and create a construction timeline to ensure project deadlines are met
- Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts
Team Coordination :
Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project initiationAssign tasks and responsibilities to team members and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication of expectationsFoster effective communication and teamwork among project stakeholdersClient Interaction :
Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the project lifecycleMaintain open communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concernsManage client expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfactionQuality Control :
Implement quality control measures to uphold the company's standards of excellencePerform regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standardsBudget and Cost Management :
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects are completed within the allocated budgetReview and approve expenses related to projects, including draw requests from subcontractors / trade partners, to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial guidelinesFacilitate change orders and execute them in a timely manner to keep margins tightDocumentation and Reporting :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other relevant recordsGenerate regular project progress reports for internal and external stakeholdersProblem Solving :
Identify issues or challenges that may arise during projects and proactively develop solutions to address themEscalate critical issues to senior management when necessary, along with recommended courses of actionContinuous Improvement :
Analyze project performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvementPropose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectivenessQualifications :
Experience using construction or project management software preferredOne year of previous experience as a construction project manager requiredStrong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skillsIn-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principlesMinimum 2 years of experience in a similar / related roleFamiliarity with construction project management software (CRM) is highly valuedKnowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principlesSuperb leadership capability, organizational skills, time-management abilities, and communication skillsAbout Company
