Work Order Dispatcher

Are you looking for a challenge? Looking for an innovative organization and the opportunity to learn and grow professionally? We can help! We are seeking a Work Order Dispatcher to support Terrestris Global Solutions' ground operations in Los Alamitos, CA.

This work is to be conducted on weekends and entails 12-hour shifts.

As the Work Order Dispatcher you will be responsible for coordinating and assigning tasks (or work orders) to field workers, technicians, or service teams in various industrieslike maintenance, construction, utilities, transportation, or IT services. Work orders will likely include issues with electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing as well as requests for ice, water, vehicle checkouts, etc.

You will :

  • Receive work orders : Monitor phone for service request calls from customers, internal departments, or automated systems.
  • Schedule jobs : Determine when and where tasks need to be done based on priority, worker availability, and location.
  • Assign work : Send jobs to the appropriate vendors, field personnel, or teams.
  • Track progress : Monitor the status of work orders and ensuring they're completed on time.
  • Communicate with teams : Keep workers informed about job details and handling real-time updates or issues.
  • Update systems : Log work completion, delays, or rescheduling in dispatch or work management software.
  • Other administrative and general labor tasks, as required.

What qualifications do you look for?

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated phone etiquette.
  • Demonstrated effective time management.
  • Familiarity with dispatching software or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly.
