Director Of Resource Development And Engagement

A respected Jewish nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Resource Development and Engagement to strengthen philanthropic support and deepen community relationships. This leadership role reports to the Chief Development Officer and focuses on fundraising, donor engagement, affinity group growth, and stewardship initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage a portfolio of 150 donors and prospects; secure gifts between $1,000 $50,000.
  • Achieve annual fundraising goals of $500,000+ through major gifts, annual giving, and affinity groups.
  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships, ensuring strong engagement and long-term support.
  • Oversee affinity group volunteer initiatives and fundraising events.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define funding priorities and develop donor proposals.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and strategies in Raisers Edge NXT.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree (required); CFRE a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven fundraising / development success, ideally in social services or healthcare.
  • Experience with donor databases (Raisers Edge preferred).
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with South Floridas philanthropic community preferred.
