EZ Form Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they adhere to established quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining high product quality, identifying potential issues, proposing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. The Quality Specialist works closely with the Quality Manager and engineering team to address non-conformances and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality control, or related field preferred
Experience
2+ years of experience in quality assurance or inspection within manufacturingFamiliarity with inspecting RF cables, cable assemblies, connectors, delay lines, or similar components is highly desirableKnowledge
Working knowledge of quality tools, techniques, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, MIL-DTL-17, IPC / WHMA-A-620)Experience with computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and quality management systems (QMS)Prior experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes is preferredSkills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and potential quality issuesProficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, microscopes)Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) for reporting and collaborating with cross-functional teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective actionJob Responsibilities
Perform visual and physical inspections of RF coaxial cables, cable assemblies, connectors, delay lines, and related components at various stages of production (final inspection, in-process checks, incoming inspections)Utilize various precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, force gages, pull testers, microscopes, and occasionally optical comparators for accurate measurements and inspectionsConduct first article inspections and incoming material inspections to ensure conformity with specifications and standardsGenerate detailed inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and non-conformancesCollaborate with Engineering and the Quality Manager to investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrenceContribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential quality issues, proposing solutions, and helping implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiencyEnsure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001, MIL-DTL-17, and IPC / WHMA-A-620Work closely with engineering, production, and the Quality Manager to resolve quality-related issues, share findings, and contribute to team goals focused on improving product quality and manufacturing efficiencyOther responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.
