Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design concepts, particularly in automated machinery and facility systems. This role requires hands-on experience with new process layouts within industrial or manufacturing environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and equipment layouts.

Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for mechanical systems.

Support installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.

Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and maintenance procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve design and operational issues in a timely manner.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Strong knowledge of automated machinery and equipment design.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and project management abilities.

Experience with automation, manufacturing engineering, work instruction, and process engineering.

Experience in writing work instructions, documentations, and SOPs.

Process improvement experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Proficiency in design and mechanical engineering tools such as Creo.

Familiarity with HVAC, facilities, new process design, mechanical maintenance, and metal.

Project planning and management skills.

Experience with Siemens PLC and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with metal or aluminum extrusion.

Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, OSHA).

Desire to grow into a leadership or managerial role.

The work environment is a mix of a manufacturing floor and a desk-based facility shop floor with automated equipment, split 50% / 50%. The work schedule follows a 4x10s format. The environment requires wearing boots, pants, and PPE such as hard hats and glasses. The company is rapidly growing, aiming to double its staff by mid-next year, from 115 to 230 employees. The work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat, while winter months may bring slower production and reduced hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $90000.00 / yr.
