Staffing Coordinator

KVC Hospitals – Wichita

We are seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our hospitals are fully staffed so we can continue providing the highest quality of care for children and families.

What You’ll Do

Analyze staffing and hiring needs based on workload and patient census.

Ensure proper staff-to-patient ratios are maintained for all shifts.

Collaborate with managers and temporary staffing agencies to fill open shifts.

Create and maintain daily staffing schedules, reports, and position control records.

Track attendance and overtime, providing reports to leadership.

Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.

Support adherence to Department of Labor (DOL) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations.

Help orient new employees to scheduling systems and staffing expectations.

Partner with supervisors and directors to ensure payroll accuracy.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

What You’ll Need

Must be at least 20 years of age.

Education : High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

Licensure / Certification : Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance required.

Experience :

Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

Experience in a 24 / 7 work environment with staffing and scheduling responsibility preferred.

Basic knowledge of employment law required.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email required.

Schedule & Pay

Schedule : Primarily Monday–Friday 8am-5pm. Occasional weekends, as needed.

Pay Rate : Pay for this role starts at $20 annually and increases based off of experience and education.

Pre-employment Requirements : Drug screen, physical, and background check required.
