SURVEY FIELD TECHNICIAN - Phoenix, AZ

Dibble is looking for a skillful and highly motivated Field Technician to join our Survey Practice in Phoenix, AZ. This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals.

SUMMARY :

This role of Field Technician will participate in fieldwork activities and perform a variety of technical tasks related to boundaries, topographic, and mapping requirements of survey projects. This role will also assist with uploading / downloading data and maintaining related records.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • Search plan set data, survey records and other project data to obtain information about property boundaries, benchmarks and existing survey control.
  • Utilize survey instruments in conjunction with Dibble survey procedures.
  • Develop and maintain survey data.
  • Perform and / or check survey computations as required in the performance of duties.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of land surveys of all types.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all survey / company equipment, including fleet vehicles.
  • Ability to meet multiple project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with both the customer and survey team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Basic level knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys.
  • Basic level knowledge of conventional and geodetic operations and calculations.
  • Ability to maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and client service.
  • Land survey knowledge with demonstrated ability in all survey methods including robotic and GPS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs and Revu Bluebeam.
  • Ability to identify and address quality control issues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • A strong commitment to the Values and Mission of the Company.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in different surveying functions.
  • Previous commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Must have a valid Arizona driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license within 3 months of start date.
  • Working Conditions for this role :

  • This role requires occasional evening and weekend work, possible shift or on-call work, and extended periods working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids.
  • LOCATION : This opportunity is located in the Phoenix area

    COMPENSATION : Salary depends on level of skills and experience
