job_description.job_card.job_descriptionGraduation from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program Current and unrestricted license as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant in the state of Texas Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA in a clinical, hospital, ER, or other setting A minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience providing wound care, preferred Must be willing to travel 100% of the time Excellent communication skills Ability to set priorities while managing multiple task Must be ethical and moral Team spirit with a positive attitude Extensive knowledge of health and patient care regulations Major medical insurance Dental and vision 401k Long- and short-term disability Paid holidays No weekends, evenings, nights, or holidays (paid holidays) Excellent work - life balance (Monday - Friday work schedules) Employee Assistance Program and more!
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Examines patients and their medical records
- Orders and studies diagnostic test (blood test, X-rays, etc.)
- Diagnoses health conditions and illnesses
- Proposes treatments for wound management
- Prescribes medications
- Orders durable medical equipment to promote wound care and healing
- Maintains accurate records and schedules
- Informs patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments
- Educates patients and their family members on wound treatment and management
- Promote food health practices
- Debrides wounds by using sharp, enzymatic, or autolytic methods in a safe manner
- Applies topical wound care and wound management products
- Recommends and refers associated services to improve wound healing outcomes
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality
- Attends required meetings to improve wound care processes
- And other duties as assigned within scope of practice
