Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Examines patients and their medical records
- Orders and studies diagnostic test (blood test, X-rays, etc.)
- Diagnoses health conditions and illnesses
- Proposes treatments for wound management
- Prescribes medications
- Orders durable medical equipment to promote wound care and healing
- Maintains accurate records and schedules
- Informs patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments
- Educates patients and their family members on wound treatment and management
- Promote food health practices
- Debrides wounds by using sharp, enzymatic, or autolytic methods in a safe manner
- Applies topical wound care and wound management products
- Recommends and refers associated services to improve wound healing outcomes
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality
- Attends required meetings to improve wound care processes
- And other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Qualifications, Education, and Skill Requirements :
Graduation from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant programCurrent and unrestricted license as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant in the state of TexasProven experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA in a clinical, hospital, ER, or other settingA minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience providing wound care, preferredMust be willing to travel 100% of the timeExcellent communication skillsAbility to set priorities while managing multiple taskMust be ethical and moralTeam spirit with a positive attitudeExtensive knowledge of health and patient care regulationsStrideCare offers a total rewards benefits package that includes :
