Senior Medication Assistance Coordinator

A company is looking for a Medication Assistance Coordinator. Key Responsibilities Assist patients and families in accessing financial resources for medications Evaluate financial situations of uninsured or under-insured patients to determine eligibility for assistance Liaise with Patient Financial Services and the Clinical Team to resolve medication payment and coverage issues Required Qualifications Associates degree or higher in health sciences, public health, or a similar field, and / or completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician training program Completion of a medical terminology course or proficiency Minimum five years of experience in retail or specialty pharmacy, healthcare collection, or related fields Experience in insurance benefit verification and / or precertification Background in Medicaid case work or billing is preferred
