Budget Analyst

As a member of the SII / IVMF Budget team, this role is primarily responsible for financial management of sponsored projects from proposal development to reporting and closeout. The position involves overseeing daily financial activities, ensuring compliance with funder and University requirements, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key responsibilities include using financial systems to monitor expenses, facilitating University Credit Card audits, and the process for reconciling various expenses. The role also requires budget management overall program funding sources (unrestricted, gift, Sponsored), providing guidance for monthly reconciliations, and reporting on project activities.

Additionally, the position involves coordinating with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and compliance, serving as the primary contact for financial inquiries, and managing contract reviews and executions. The ideal candidate will exercise independent judgment to streamline the Sponsored award process, lead the preparation of proposal budgets, manage awards, and facilitate teamwork between programmatic leads and campus partners. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands are essential.
