The Shipping Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of pharmaceutical products from manufacturing facilities to distribution centers and ultimately to end-users.

This position requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical shipping regulations, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.  While specific job descriptions may vary depending on the company, here is a general overview of the responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with the role :

Essential Job Functions :

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end shipping process for products, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to schedule shipments based on production timelines and inventory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, including Current Good Documentation Practice (cGDP) and other relevant guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and customs declarations.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the integrity and safety of products during transportation.
• Perform regular checks on shipping processes to identify and address any deviations from standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with logistics partners, carriers, and customs officials to coordinate the smooth flow of shipments.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on shipping status and address any issues that may arise.
• Identify potential risks in the shipping process and implement preventive measures to mitigate them.
• Respond promptly to shipping-related incidents or deviations from established procedures.
