Human Resources Manager

Our Customer in the Greater Grand Rapids area is seeking a Human Resource Manager to join their dynamic team! What you'll do : The Human Resources Manager will align HR initiatives with business goals while partnering with managers and supervisors to drive success through people. This role supports multiple sites and provides strategic HR leadership in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include advising on personnel practices, managing employee files, handling unemployment claims, investigating HR-related issues, leading employee orientations, assisting with open enrollment, supporting audits, and driving employee engagement and retention initiatives. Skills Required : -Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws-Experience advising managers and supervisors on complex HR matters-Ability to lead orientations and coordinate employee events-Proficiency in handling investigations (EEOC, harassment, ADA, discrimination, etc.)-Excellent communication and team-building skills-Ability to define and track HR metrics related to turnover, vacancies, and absenteeism Experience Required : -7 years of HR and employee relations experience in a manufacturing and warehouse environment-3 years in a people leadership role-Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, or related field
