About the Role

Talascend seeking a highly motivated Engineering Support Specialist for a contract opportunity located in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, creation, editing, and management of a wide variety of technical data and documentation in support of complex engineering programs. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and contractually compliant document delivery to both internal stakeholders and external customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, collect, create, edit, and manage technical program documentation including but not limited to : Test plans Acceptance procedures Test and similarity reports Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRL) items Product specifications and other technical documents
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering to develop and maintain technical content that meets contractual and regulatory standards
  • Track and manage submittals and delivery timelines for all data deliverables
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Project Engineering, and Configuration Management teams
  • Support release and version control of documents using Teamcenter, ensuring compliance with configuration management protocols
  • Maintain records of document revisions and submissions to ensure audit readiness and traceability
  • Report document status to customers and internal teams as needed

Qualifications

Must Have :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Copy Editing and / or Technical Writing, using Microsoft Word and Adobe tools for document creation and management
  • 2+ years of specialized experience in Copy Editing focused on technical or engineering documents
  • Preferred (We Value) :

  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer responsible for translating complex technical information into clear, concise documents for diverse audiences
  • Strong copyediting skills with attention to grammar, readability, flow, and consistency
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter or similar product lifecycle management tools
  • Experience supporting military or government contracts with CDRL / SDRL deliverables
  • Process-oriented mindset with a history of implementing process improvements in document workflows
