PGS Worldwide is seeking a highly experienced

Senior Mechanical Designer

to support key program initiatives for a major aerospace and defense subcontractor in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for a CAD professional with strong Creo expertise, a deep understanding of military specifications, and the ability to deliver highly detailed design work that meets stringent engineering and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Create advanced mechanical and electromechanical component and assembly designs using Creo 9. Develop functional, producible design layouts and drawing packages to military / ASME standards. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to finalize product design specifications. Perform tolerance analysis and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Support model-based definition (MBD) processes to ensure CAD models transition seamlessly into modeling and simulation environments. Review and check documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with MIL-STD and industry codes. Provide technical consultation and mentorship to design team members. Ensure full lifecycle compliance from conceptual design to integration, test, and production support. Required Qualifications :

Proficiency in Creo 9 (or equivalent) with expert-level design / drafting skills. Strong experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis. Familiarity with military drawings / specifications and MILSPEC / STD standards. Ability to prepare highly detailed design layouts, including full drawing packages. Associate degree in engineering drafting / design or equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of 9 years of experience in design and drafting using Creo / Pro-E. Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government program requirements. Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) practices and tools. Broad product knowledge at the component, subsystem, and system level. Understanding of human factors and production methods.
