Inside Sales Engineer

Newly hired Inside Sales Engineers (ISE's) may participate in our Caltrol University (Caltrol U) rotational onboarding program. Over the course of a four-month rotation, Caltrol U participants acquire a strong foundation in Caltrol's operations, products, customers, and territory dynamics before beginning a more focused training in one of its business units. This program is optional.

Hiring Range :

The hiring range for this position is $32.00-$37.00 p / hour plus Quarterly Profit Sharing. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position.

What you'll be doing :

• Size, select, and engineer process valves, actuators, and / or instrumentation to address customers' problems and applications.
• Gather information from customers and teammates to determine the best technical and commercial solution for each opportunity.
• Regularly interact with customers to provide exceptional service and establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
• Develop and apply valuable expertise about Caltrol’s solutions
• Support internal customers (Account Managers, Order Management, Accounting, Shop) to provide support and efficient execution of customer orders.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, Account Managers, and Business Unit Leaders on key opportunities to determine Caltrol’s scope and sales strategy.
• Maintain positive and productive relationships with Caltrol’s principal suppliers.
• Follow up on quotations, demonstrating an ability to close sales.

What we offer :

Expected Hours / Work Schedule :

The job is full-time, Monday-Friday. This position is eligible for Caltrol’s hybrid work program, allowing remote work for up to two days per week, subject to program qualifications and at the discretion of management.

Physical Demands :

This job will require significant amounts of sitting. A standing desk may be available if accommodations are required. This job requires the use of a computer and a telephone.

Travel :

Must be willing to travel throughout the Caltrol territory (AZ, CA, NV) as needed. Travel might require overnights.
