We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Creative Video Editor to join our dynamic media production team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong visual storytelling ability, advanced technical expertise with industry-standard editing software, and a passion for producing compelling video content that aligns with our brand objectives. This role will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and creative teams to deliver polished, high-quality video assets for various platforms including digital, broadcast, and social media.
Key Responsibilities
Edit and assemble raw footage : Transform recorded video into finished projects that match the directors vision and are suitable for broadcasting.
Storytelling : Craft engaging narratives using creative editing techniques, sound design, music, graphics, and visual effects.
Collaboration : Work closely with producers, directors, content strategists, and graphic designers to understand project goals, audience, and deliverables.
Versioning : Create multiple versions of content, optimizing for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
Color grading and correction : Adjust color, exposure, and audio levels to ensure professional quality and consistency across all video assets.
Asset management : Organize and archive video files and project assets in accordance with company protocols.
Quality control : Conduct thorough reviews to ensure all content meets brand standards, technical specifications, and copyright requirements.
Stay current : Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new editing technologies, and best practices to continually enhance content quality.
Feedback implementation : Incorporate feedback from stakeholders efficiently while maintaining creative integrity and project timelines.
Occasional on-site support : Attend shoots as needed to provide technical expertise or assist with live edits.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelors degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
Experience : 3+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably within a creative agency or media production environment.
Technical Proficiency :
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition) or Final Cut Pro.
Familiarity with color grading tools such as DaVinci Resolve.
Proficient in audio mixing and sound design.
Portfolio : A strong showreel or portfolio demonstrating creative editing, storytelling, and technical proficiency is required.

Compensation
Annual Salary : $60,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
