Bakery Production Associate

Did you know that Scooter's Coffee roasts our coffee beans and bakes our baked goods for our stores in our manufacturing facility at our headquarters in Omaha, NE? We are looking for a Bakery Production Associate to work in our commercial bakery. The Bakery Production Associate will provide support in all steps of the manufacturing process including preparation, mixing, baking, finishing and packaging. The Bakery Production Associate helps to ensure a consistent product from preparation through order fulfillment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support in all steps of the manufacturing process, including preparation, mixing, baking, finishing, packaging and order fulfillment
  • Manufacture products consistent with product specifications and standards
  • Clean and sanitize workstation, bakery, dishes and equipment
  • Follow and enforce procedures outlined in food safety plan
  • Adhere to all safety standards and wear all required safety equipment
  • Perform and log required food safety procedures
  • Rotate though different work areas as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment, food manufacturing / production preferred
  • Works well in team environment
  • Positive attitude
  • Commitment to safety
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a day
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach and bend for extended periods of time
  • Ability to hear, see, and speak within a loud environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures including environments with hot ovens and cold freezers
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to pass company background screen and drug screen

  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 75 pounds frequently throughout a day
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, climb, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout a day
  • Ability to hear, see, and speak within a loud environment
  • Must have the ability to work in varying temperature zones, from freezer temperatures to non air conditioned temperatures in the summer
