Job Description
The Utilities Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant utility systems, with a strong emphasis on ammonia refrigeration. This includes equipment such as boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air compressors, HVAC systems, cooling towers, water treatment systems, and other critical infrastructure that supports manufacturing operations. The Utilities Technician ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while minimizing downtime and supporting overall plant performance.

Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to work in warm and cold environments, confined spaces, and at heights as required. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support 24 / 7 operations. Exposure to loud noise, ammonia, moving equipment, and chemicals with proper PPE provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.99 - $33.99 / hr.
