Billing and Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Billing & Coding Specialist. Key Responsibilities Review and audit medical codes, procedure codes, and facility codes against billed charges Prepare and submit Controverting Affidavits or Cost Reports for discrepancies in billing Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA-Privacy Rule requirements Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, and expert testimony Knowledge of various coding systems including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II Strong computer skills related to billing review software and applications AAPC or AHIMA credentials are strongly preferred Ability to meet critical legal deadlines with strong time management skills
