Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with a mix of virtual and in-person collaboration. The position supports global operations from a main office, satellite locations, or remotely. The in-person component may take place at designated collaboration hubs or operational sites, and attendance frequency varies based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies, and procedures within assigned functional areas.
  • Collaborate with site and corporate teams to monitor operations and project performance.
  • Provide technical direction, interpret policies, and support regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and address operational deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage budgets for improvement projects, including staffing and materials.
  • Lead assigned initiatives, from project planning and development to execution.
  • Coordinate with other departments and provide operational insights to leadership.
  • Evaluate infrastructure and systems for needed repairs or upgrades.
  • Support capital improvement planning and process optimization efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of operational or maintenance experience , including supervisory or management experience OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant operational and leadership experience .
  • Strong understanding of cost control, efficiency improvement, safety, and environmental protection in industrial operations.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures and technical equipment.
  • Skilled in safety awareness and hazard recognition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Strong knowledge of industrial processes (e.g., mining, plant operations, or manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in developing training and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, etc.).
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance and reliability within process or fixed plant industries.
  • Background in copper hydrometallurgical operations.
  • Experience with SAP, CMS systems, Power BI, PI, and equipment downtime tracking tools.
  • Proficiency with RCA methodologies (TapRoot, Essential Factors, 5-Why, etc.).
  • Understanding of Work Management processes (Identify, Plan / Schedule, Execute, Analyze).
  • Competence in maintenance practices, processes, and reliability improvement methodologies.
  • Associate degree or trade certification in relevant fields.

  • Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Must be comfortable leading meetings, presenting business cases, and aligning teams around strategic goals.
  • Up to 70% travel is required (domestic and international).
  • The position supports operations across North America, South America, and Southeast Asia .
  • Relocation may be required based on proximity to operational sites.
  • This is a strategic role focused on establishing governance and driving operational excellence in maintenance and reliability.

  • Estimated base salary range : $101,000 – $141,000 (based on qualifications and experience).
