AHRC NYC is looking to immediately hire Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Residential Division in ALL FIVE BOROUGHS.

PAY RATE : $17 - $19 per hour depending on residence placement and position. Anyone hired at $17 per hour has the potential to be increased to $18 per hour after achieving 6 months of employment in good standing. In addition this position comes with a low cost comprehensive benefit Benefits below.

40hr) 3pm-11pm & 7am-3pm positions -  Drivers License Required

40hr & 30hr) 11pm-9am positions - Drivers License NOT Required.

Responsibilities :

  • The oversight of all safety and health considerations
  • Promoting skill development interests and hobbies
  • Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
  • Other personalized responsibilities including cooking cleaning hygiene etc.

    • Qualifications :

  • Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD) preferred.
  • Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
  • Willingness to support peoples preferences for community activities work leisure activities the exercise of their rights various settings.
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry.
  • High school education / GED preferred.
