Delaware Nation Industries is seeking an experienced Help Desk Support Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard.
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) provides the Coast Guard (CG) surface fleet and other assigned assets with depot level maintenance, engineering, supply, logistics, IT support, application support, logistics and information services to support CG missions.
Requirements :
- Support enterprise-wide logistics systems involving a wide variety of different platforms, operating systems, applications and desktop / laptop configurations.
- Identify and break down problems using structured problem resolution approaches.
- Work with network specialists, application developers and security specialists to prevent recurring problems.
- Manage requests for and coordinate providing supporting documentation to aid in procurement and installation of computer hardware and software.
- Perform customer support duties, such as managing customer access to certain applications and assist customers in configuring workstations and applications.
- Maintain documentation and support online tracking of configuration management records to account for acquisition, use, transfer and disposal of government property.
- Currently, the primary operating system in use is MS Windows.
- Applications include the MS Office Suite and Coast Guard specific applications.
- Workstations include stationary desktops, and laptops
- Provide Telecommunications Support.
- Coordinate with other branch employees and Coast Guard telecommunication support personnel to provide services and correct problems.
- Monitor daily operations of telecommunication services.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication operations and services under various contingencies.
- Manage requests for and coordinate various telecommunications services to included telephones, voicemail, cellular / data phones, facsimile machines, copiers, leased data lines, video teleconferencing, telecommuting, etc.
