Job Description :

Join our dynamic team at the Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) as a full-time Billing Representative at our corporate office. With over four decades in the industry, ACP is widely recognized as a leader in addressing mental health concerns in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

This essential role will help our clients feel valued while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. Your ability to make sound decisions, display initiative, loyalty, and reliability is vital to your success in this role. We're looking for easy-going individuals with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills who can support a diverse range of people, from clients to fellow team members.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :

  • Conduct insurance verifications for all divisions of ACP
  • Process prior authorizations
  • Follow up on insurance denials and rejections
  • Monthly client statement preparation and distribution
  • Communicate insurance benefit information to clients
  • Other key business office operations

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing or insurance verification
  • Fundamental mathematical and accounting skills
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic medical terminology training and keyboarding skills
  • Experience with data entry and ability to learn new software and workflows
  • Effective multitasking and critical thinking capabilities
  • Possess a positive, flexible, team and client-focused attitude across departments
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • Dependable team player with reliable transportation
