About the role

We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Software QA Automation Engineer Intern (Unpaid) to join our front-end team. In this role, you'll help ensure that our user interfaces are reliable, bug-free, and ready for release. You'll work closely with UI engineers, product managers, and designers to verify features, run regression tests, and contribute to a scalable, automated QA process. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern QA workflows, UI testing, and cross-functional team collaboration.

Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Execute manual and automated UI test cases across browsers and devices
Validate UI behavior and functionality in each release
Assist in developing test plans and test strategies for new features
Identify, document, and track bugs, visual defects, and regressions
Collaborate with engineers and designers to clarify requirements and test coverage
Use tools like Selenium, Cypress, or React Testing Library to optimize and scale testing
Support test automation and continuous integration efforts

Required Qualifications

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and web technologies (HTML / CSS)

Familiarity with React and component-based UI frameworks

Exposure to UI testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or similar

Understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA best practices

Experience with Git and version control

Bonus : Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
