Event Assistants - TEDNext 2025, Atlanta, GA
These are short-term, temporary contract roles for in-person, onsite support at the TEDNext 2025 in Atlanta, GA, taking place at The Signia by Hilton.
Event orientation and onsite work will take place between November 6, 2025 and November 11, 2025. Successful candidates are responsible for any travel, accommodation, and meal costs.
TEDNext’s focus is on asking bigger questions about your life, your work, and the world. TEDNext is a space for attendees to step outside their routine, reimagine their direction and move forward with purpose.

Operations and Logistics Assistants
All roles will assist the Event Production team in producing multiple aspects of the TEDNext experience, so we’re looking for people who are comfortable assisting guests with discretion and tact, actively listening to requests and taking the temperature of a situation before reacting. We want people who are proactive and resourceful, able to think critically.
On-site roles can involve walking and standing for long periods and being able to assist in some physical work and heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Potential Responsibilities (role dependent)
Welcome and support attendees to help them feel oriented, included and comfortableRepresent and exemplify TED’s service ethos - warm, inclusive, welcomingInteract with high-profile guests and manage stressful or time-sensitive situations with calm discretionWork with the TED team to execute a pre-set program production scheduleAccurately interpret and follow floor plans, room layouts, one-sheets and running orders for session setup, paying attention to the smallest detailsWayfinding and assisting attendees with directions and local city recommendationsSet up and tear down events or spaces, moving, packing, building and disassembling furniture and decorTake accurate debrief notes of the event as required, and escalate any questions or concerns to the Event Production teamUse mobile devices or tablets to take attendance using TED software programsQualifications
Previous customer service and / or hospitality experienceTech-savvy with a functional understanding of laptops, tablets, and cell phonesPrevious event production or tourism management experienceAble to work well under little supervision, with excellent time management skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProactive and resourcefulCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsOrganized and detail-orientedCalm, kind and discreetFluent in EnglishAble to stand for long periods, participate in physical work, and perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbsAdditional Information
