Job Title : Field Service Technician – Industrial 3D Printing

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support advanced industrial 3D printing equipment. This role offers the chance to build expertise in cutting-edge additive manufacturing technology while working closely with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality service and technical support to customers, ensuring machine uptime and reliability

Troubleshoot and repair complex systems, including :

Electrical and automation systems (PLC-based)

Mechanical assemblies and drive mechanisms

Laser and optical systems

Pneumatic, cooling, and inert gas systems

Lead on-site and remote troubleshooting efforts, with a focus on automation and controls

Assist with equipment installation and commissioning at customer facilities

Provide technical training to customers, subcontractors, and internal staff

Collaborate with global engineering and support teams to resolve escalated issues and improve equipment performance

Contribute to service process improvements, documentation, and knowledge sharing

Cross-train in other technical areas as needed to support team goals

Qualifications

Associate's degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering) OR equivalent hands-on experience

Strong background in automation and machine control systems

Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Beckhoff / TwinCAT or Siemens 840D preferred)

Hands-on experience with electrical, controls, and mechanical repair of industrial machinery

Ability to troubleshoot logically under pressure and work independently

Strong communication skills (technical reporting, customer correspondence, presentations)

Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including extended assignments across North America and, at times, internationally

Prior exposure to additive manufacturing or post-processing methods is a plus, but not required
