What to Expect

Megafactory Texas is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support, and manage a team of technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The team will be responsible for low volume equipment / process design and implementation as well as supporting transition from low volume to high volume production which includes line and equipment integration, commissioning and production buy offs. This leader will build a team that can work closely with a motivated and talented cross functional teams on multiple projects to support smooth launch and ramp of Megafactory Texas.

This role will be based out of the Greater Houston Area (TX) however will be expected to work in Lathrop (CA) to support early builds and validation for the first 6-12 months. Other travel may be required.

What You'll Do

  • Support Manufacturing, Design and Production Engineering by setting up and operating pilot lines
  • Set up work plan and priorities to the team based on business plan and needs. Align projects to drive department goals by managing operations and driving metrics in critical areas of the Manufacturing floor.Work with engineering and production team, understand the product, process, quality control plan
  • Manage repairs / troubleshooting exactly to instructed process and ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire rework process and support no defects escaping the NCM area
  • Responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

  • Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills and interface with executives and leaders daily

  • Strong analytical capability and familiarity with analytical and statistical software systems.Data collection and analysis experience.Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in presenting to uppermanagement

    • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours / day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours / day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to : safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

    • Expected Compensation $86,400 - $129,600 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
